Niranjan Babu has lectured, presented papers at conferences, conducted workshops and teaching sessions, and given professional consultations in India and other parts of the world that include North America, Canada, France, Belgium, Europe, Russia and Vietnam. He has given many guest lectures on the invitation of many reputed institutions like American Council of Vedic Astrology (ACVA), British Academy of Vedic Astrology (BAVA), Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm (SAYF) and others.
Niranjan Babu has been honored with the title Asthana Vidwan by Avadhoota Datta Peetham, Mysore. He is an Advisor (as Vastu specialist) to Sri Dharmastala Manjunatheshwara Dharmottanna Trust, Dharmastala, India, an institution which maintains and manages a large number of well-known temples and theological institutions. He has advised ISKCON worldwide and is an advisor for Sivananda Ashram Yoga Farm, California, USA.
He is the son of Dr. B. V. Raman (1912 to 1998), one of India's greatest and most reputed scholars of Jyotisha of recent times. Niranjan Babu is currently Chief Editor of The Astrological eMagazine, the original of which - The Astrological Magazine - was founded by his great-grandfather Prof. Suryanarain Rao in 1895 and continued by his father Dr. B. V. Raman for over sixty years (1936 to 1998). He is a worthy successor to his father who himself testified that Niranjan Babu has a "firm grip on the subject". In 1993, Dr. B. V. Raman set up the Raman & Rajeswari Research Foundation for the proper propagation of Jyothisha, Yoga, Vastu and related subjects of Indian Culture through lectures, workshops, conferences, seminars and via online and offline research publications, etc. Niranjan Babu is now the Chairman of the Foundation.
In July 2005, he initiated a course in Vastu Shastra which was launched at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Bangalore by the-then Governor of Karnataka, his Excellency, Mr. T. N. Chaturvedi. The first batch successfully ended in the month of October 2005 and the successful students were awarded certificates.
Niranjan Babu wonderfully combines an in-depth knowledge of ancient sciences of Vastu and Jyotisha with an intelligent grasp of modern conditions and contemporary concerns.
